Wang Cong acknowledged after her UFC 332 loss to Natalia Silva that she has regrets about the fight.

The vacant women's flyweight title was on the line in Salt Lake City. Cong and Silva went the full five rounds, with Silva ultimately winning a decision. Cong felt she could have approached the fight differently.

Following the loss, Cong posted on Instagram, stating, “Thank you for supporting my friends. The game is lost, what a pity. I have some regrets then because of the first game. The eye was poked in the second half. The line of sight is blocked, and then I couldn’t see it when I was poked in the right eye in the first game. Wait until later to slow down, it’s too slow to enter. Where to fall, get up, go back and summarize yourself. Come on, try again.”

UFC CEO Dana White commented post-event that Cong likely regretted not being more aggressive earlier. Cong had entered UFC 332 on a four-fight win streak.

It remains unclear when former champion Valentina Shevchenko, who relinquished the title due to injury, will be ready to challenge for the belt again.
