Ailin Perez and Norma Dumont remain in conflict following their contentious fight at UFC Vegas 121. Perez secured a unanimous decision victory over Dumont last weekend at the Apex, marking her seventh consecutive win since her UFC debut in September 2022.

Many observers felt Dumont deserved the win, despite Perez's time in control and superior grappling. Dumont appeared shocked by the official decision and almost engaged in a physical confrontation with Perez in the Octagon immediately after the fight. The tension between them continued on social media after UFC Vegas 121.

Perez escalated the feud in an Instagram story, directly addressing Dumont. "Thanks for the condoms Norma," Perez stated in her message. "But I did not need to use them to f— you. #SoSorry"

These comments followed Dumont's own social media post about the fight. "I was going at it with her, trading blows and talking trash the whole time," Dumont had said. "She was desperate. She didn’t have a prayer against me. I’m at peace and fully confident that I won. There’s not a shadow of a doubt. She knows it too; that’s why she was so desperate. Honestly, considering the absurd things I’ve seen in MMA regarding results, I didn’t think it would go my way."

Dumont was seeking a win at UFC Vegas 121 after losing to Joselyne Edwards in April. Perez, meanwhile, continues to climb the bantamweight rankings with recent victories over Macy Chiasson and Karol Rosa.
