Tai Tuivasa will face a new opponent at UFC Perth. Originally scheduled to fight Sean Sharaf, Tuivasa’s original opponent withdrew due to a fractured nose sustained during training, leaving “Bam Bam” without a matchup just nine days before the event.
Fortunately for Tuivasa, a replacement has been found. UFC has announced that Tai Tuivasa will now face Louie Sutherland at UFC Perth in a late-notice bout.
Tuivasa is currently on a six-fight losing streak, with his last victory in September 2022. He recently lost a unanimous decision to Tallison Teixeira at UFC 325, bringing his UFC record to 8-9.
Louie Sutherland is also looking for his first win in the UFC. He has lost both of his promotional fights, most recently suffering a first-round knockout defeat to Brando Peričić at UFC London. Sutherland’s professional record stands at 10-5, with an 0-2 record in the UFC.
