Real Madrid has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Aurelien Tchouaméni and Fede Valverde after widespread reports of a physical altercation during a training session. Following the incident, Valverde was reportedly taken to the hospital for stitches to a head wound.
Sources suggest that Tchouaméni allegedly struck Valverde after the latter accused him of leaking details of a previous disagreement between them to the press. The confrontation in the dressing room reportedly caused Valverde to fall, hitting his head on a table. Experiencing dizziness afterward, he was transported to the hospital in a wheelchair.
Real Madrid Commences Disciplinary Process Against Tchouaméni and Valverde
While Los Blancos have not yet imposed any immediate sanctions, it is anticipated that neither player will participate in the upcoming El Clásico match against Barcelona on Sunday.
Real Madrid C.F. announces that, following the incidents that occurred this morning during the first team’s training session, it has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni.
The club will provide updates on the resolutions of both proceedings once the corresponding internal procedures have been completed.
Valverde’s Condition: Potential Concussion
Given the signs of dizziness he exhibited post-altercation, doctors have recommended rest for Valverde, who has been diagnosed with a head trauma injury. Despite the incident, he did return to the Valdebebas training ground to attend an emergency team meeting convened by General Manager Jose Angel Sanchez.
Potential Sanctions Loom
According to Cadena Cope, the severity of the infraction will determine the potential sanctions. A serious breach of the club’s code of conduct could lead to a suspension of 3 to 10 games and a loss of salary. If deemed a very serious offense, the punishment could range from 11 to 20 games, with Real Madrid potentially having grounds for dismissal.
