PSG Offers Two Players in Julian Alvarez Negotiations with Atletico Madrid

Sports news » PSG Offers Two Players in Julian Alvarez Negotiations with Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid appears determined to retain Julian Alvarez this summer, but other clubs are also showing interest in testing their resolve. While Atletico has stated they have no intention of selling Alvarez amidst ongoing speculation linking him with Barcelona, recent reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain might be a more serious contender for his signature.

Although Barcelona has expressed their desire to sign Alvarez, they are awaiting a clear indication of his interest in joining their club to strengthen their negotiating position. Conversely, PSG has already initiated discussions with Atletico regarding Alvarez, and the estimated transfer fee is rumored to be around €150 million.

PSG Proposes Player Exchange for Julian Alvarez

According to Diario AS, PSG has put forward an offer to include two players in the deal to acquire Alvarez. While the French champions were initially reluctant to part with Kang-In Lee, he is now among the players PSG would consider involving in a deal for Alvarez, should the transfer receive the go-ahead. The other player mentioned is Portuguese forward Goncalo Ramos, who could serve as a direct replacement for Alvarez in attack.

Atletico Madrid’s Sporting Director Interested in Both Players

The Spanish newspaper further reports that Atletico’s Sporting Director, Mateu Alemany, is interested in both players. Atletico Madrid had previously attempted to sign Kang-In Lee, whose contract expires in 2028, in January. However, manager Luis Enrique was keen to keep him. Kang-In Lee is reportedly seeking more playing time elsewhere. Alemany also holds an appreciation for Ramos, though he faces competition for his signature from other clubs.

It remains to be seen whether Alvarez wishes to leave Atletico and what his priorities are, as he has so far refrained from publicly committing his future to the Madrid club.
