This Wednesday, April 8, the video game club "Let's Play" will host its second session in Alicante. The event is scheduled for 7:00 PM at the Instituto Alicantino de Cultura Juan Gil Albert. The session will feature an introductory talk followed by a discussion among attendees.

The game to be analyzed on this occasion is "despelote," a title launched on May 1st that recently arrived on Nintendo Switch. Notably, despite its Switch release, the game is not available for purchase in Ecuador due to the absence of a local eShop. The game offers a "snapshot of Quito from a quarter-century ago."

Flavia Bernárdez is responsible for selecting the video games featured in "Let's Play" sessions and also moderates the discussions. This initiative aims to foster a video game community in Alicante.

The inaugural "Let's Play" session, held last month, focused on "What Remains of Edith Finch." These types of gatherings provide a valuable space for discussing and expanding video game culture. The establishment of "Let's Play" in Alicante joins other similar video game club initiatives emerging across various cities and platforms.
