Wanchainoi's Remarkable Comeback Headlines The Inner Circle 26
A fighter who once set aside the gloves for a microphone is now leading a highly anticipated fight card.
Wanchainoi Pongsuphan PK is set to face Lao striker Petnamkhong Sor Maneekhot in a strawweight Muay Thai main event at The Inner Circle 26, broadcasting live from Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, August 14. The 25-year-old Wanchainoi paused his fighting career during the COVID-19 pandemic to focus on music, releasing an album and gaining a following through online cover videos. After fulfilling his military service, he has now returned to full-time competition.
His return has been successful, marked by three consecutive victories at Lumpinee. Notably, he secured a first-round knockout against Dokmaipa Santiubon at ONE Friday Fights 160, ending his opponent's four-fight winning streak and earning a bonus. Petnamkhong, 22, is also on a strong run with three consecutive wins, including a second-round TKO of Tonglampoon FA Group at ONE Friday Fights 149, signaling his presence in the division.
Gingsanglek Faces Style Clash at The Inner Circle 26
The co-main event of The Inner Circle 26 promises an intriguing stylistic matchup. PK Saenchai Muaythaigym's Gingsanglek Wor Kumchamnarn, a seasoned fighter with a record of 45-13, known for his powerful left kick to the body in the bantamweight division, will face ONE newcomer Dmitri Ramos.
Gingsanglek is coming off a loss to Yodlekpet Or Atchariya but boasts a recent three-fight win streak, which includes a bonus-winning spinning backfist knockout of Alexey Balyko and a TKO victory over Thant Zin. Ramos enters the fight with an undefeated record, relying on a potent straight left, and aims to make an immediate impact in his promotional debut.
Three additional Muay Thai bouts will also take place on the August 14 card at Lumpinee Stadium. Petkhaokradong Lukjaomaesaithong will compete against Vadzim Shapiatsiuk in the lightweight division. In the atomweight category, Bakjo Sitkhunma will face Petsuphan Por Prajansi, and Nongnuk Sor Dechapan is scheduled to fight Saya Ito.
This event sets the stage for an exciting evening in Bangkok, as ONE Fight Night 46 is scheduled to take place at the same Lumpinee Stadium later that night, featuring a major card broadcast on Prime Video.
