Real Madrid is reportedly considering selling midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, as he is no longer viewed as a crucial part of the club’s immediate or long-term future. The French international joined from Stade Rennes for €31 million four and a half years ago but has yet to firmly establish himself as a consistent starter.
Since his second season, the 23-year-old has frequently rotated in and out of the squad, struggling to maintain a consistent level of performance, an issue he himself has acknowledged. Despite being under contract until 2029, sources indicate that for the first time, Los Blancos are prepared to entertain transfer bids for him.
Real Madrid Sets Minimum Price for Camavinga
According to RadioMarca, Camavinga has been removed from Real Madrid’s list of ‘non-transferable’ players. The club is open to offers but aims to secure at least €50 million from his sale. It is believed that Real Madrid intends to sign a new midfielder this summer, and the funds from Camavinga’s potential departure could help finance this acquisition, with players like Rodri Hernandez and Kees Smit linked to the Bernabéu.
Premier League Clubs Express Interest in Camavinga
Journalist Matteo Moretto reports that Real Madrid has already received inquiries regarding Camavinga. During the January transfer window, Liverpool was reportedly interested in his services, and Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad has also shown interest. While it appears Camavinga will have opportunities to leave if he wishes, he has not yet expressed a desire to depart.
Consistent Fitness Issues
A contributing factor to Camavinga’s fluctuating form has been his recent fitness record. Despite avoiding many serious injuries, he has frequently been in and out of the lineup. This season, he has accumulated just 1,685 minutes across 31 appearances. This lack of continuous playing time may partially explain his difficulty in solidifying a regular starting position.
