Poncle, the studio behind the immensely popular Vampire Survivors, is experiencing a period of intense activity, with over 15 projects currently in development. The company is also planning to establish new studios in Italy and Japan.
Matteo Sapio, the company’s head of strategy, shared these insights with Cristopher Dring during a discussion at the London Game Festival. The full conversation is now available on The Game Business.
It’s important to note that the figure of 15 projects encompasses more than just brand-new game titles. While two of these are entirely new franchises, the count also includes updates and downloadable content (DLC) for existing games. This week alone saw the release of Vampire Crawlers, the first spin-off resulting from a collaboration between Poncle and Nosebleed Interactive. Furthermore, Warhammer Survivors, which reimagines the core gameplay with Space Marines instead of vampire hunters, is slated for a 2026 release. This title is being developed and published by Auroch Digital.
This impressive pipeline comes after an IP that began with humble origins – Luca Galante initially created Vampire Survivors for casual fun with friends – has now reached over 27 million players, according to Sapio. This success has even sparked discussions about potential movie or series adaptations.
Poncle’s ambitious expansion and ongoing development underscore the studio’s commitment to delivering fresh content and new experiences to its growing player base.
