July 11, 2026Diego Herrera1 мин

The highly anticipated UFC flyweight championship bout pitting current titleholder Joshua Van against challenger Tatsuro Taira has been rescheduled. Originally slated for UFC 327 on April 11 in Miami, the fight will now occur at UFC 328 on May 9 in New Jersey.

UFC 328, set to take place in Newark, will feature a middleweight title clash between champion Khamzat Chimaev and former titleholder Sean Strickland as its main event.

While the specific reason for this scheduling adjustment has not been disclosed, the relatively quick turnaround from its initial April date suggests a smooth transition.

Joshua Van secured the flyweight championship in December following an injury to then-champion Alexandre Pantoja during their encounter. His upcoming defense against Taira marks his inaugural title defense as the new champion.
