Arman Tsarukyan has once again shared his perspective on a potential superfight between Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria.

With speculation growing that Makhachev and Topuria could clash later this year, Tsarukyan firmly believes that Islam Makhachev would emerge victorious against Ilia Topuria, regardless of the weight class. During a recent discussion, when asked about the hypothetical matchup, Tsarukyan unequivocally stated, "Islam Makhachev." While others suggested that Topuria might have a better chance at 155 pounds, Tsarukyan maintained that Makhachev's superiority would prevail regardless of whether the fight takes place at 155 or 170 pounds.

The topic of reconciliation between Tsarukyan and Topuria also arose. Despite suggestions from an interviewer that they could become friends and "bury the hatchet," Tsarukyan made it clear that any truce would only occur after they have fought. "After [the] fight, I will stop beefing with Ilia Topuria," he declared, resisting the idea of making peace beforehand.

Future fight scenarios for these athletes are complex. While Topuria reportedly plans to move up to 170 pounds to challenge Makhachev after a successful title defense at lightweight, potentially preventing a Tsarukyan vs. Topuria bout, Tsarukyan is currently positioning himself as a backup for the upcoming lightweight title unification fight. Islam Makhachev is currently slated to face Justin Gaethje, and Ilia Topuria's next opponent is yet to be officially confirmed.
