Junio Jugón 2026: Event Schedule

Sports news » Junio Jugón 2026: Event Schedule

The vibrant gaming arena has returned! For the first time in its six-year history, Summer Game Fest is reusing its graphical theme. I’m all for it, as it seems this event is solidifying its place as a legitimate tradition, and the excitement for Junio Jugón (Gaming June) is palpable, with little room for resignation.

While this year sees the absence of Ubisoft, and some might miss Devolver, with Nintendo’s participation uncertain, there are still plenty of events to fill the remainder of 2026 with game releases – leaving, of course, a nice gap in November. What follows is a selection of what we believe to be the most relevant presentations, those ripe for predictions, or simply the familiar faces. At the end, we’ll also provide a list of all the gaming streams for the upcoming days, complete with links and details.

(The times for each event are in peninsular Spanish time. However, by clicking the provided links, you can check the broadcast time in any other country.)

The Mix Summer Game Showcase 2026

The Mix Summer Game
Showcase 2026

June 1st, 18:00h // World Clock

The spiritual successor to Guerrilla Collective doesn’t seem to shy away from surprises; they’ve been announcing which independent titles will be featured on social media for weeks, listing them on the event page. I’ve spotted the very eye-catching Kidbash: Super Legend, the hypnotic My Arms Are Longer Now, and Wilderings: The Lost Spring, the latest from Herobeat Studios, among many, many, many others.

Where to watch: Youtube, Twitch.

State of Play June 2026

State of Play

June 2nd, 23:00h // World Clock

It was three years ago that, after a disastrous Showcase, Sony abandoned its most glamorous format. Regardless of the label, this should be the closest thing they have left: if State of Play were a tabloid show, the summer edition would be the Deluxe version.

We know this edition will last a little over 60 minutes and will kick off with Insomniac’s Wolverine—it’s about time for extended gameplay, as September 15th isn’t that far away. Still with Marvel and PlayStation Studios, we should at least see a couple more fighters for Tōkon: Fighting Souls. And then come the rumors, some funnier than others. Most insiders are betting on Faye’s God of War, we all want to see more of Intergalactic, and it’s being said that Fairgame$—three years ago, in a disastrous Showcase…—will have to metamorphose into Break In. If I were to ask, I’d request something from Media Molecule.

On Tuesday night, importantly, Capcom will have its first opportunity to announce the release date for Onimusha. The same goes for Remedy and their Control Resonant, which looks almost as good despite being a parry-denier. Additionally, Square-Enix will get to be Square-Enix by announcing the third Final Fantasy VII right when Rebirth is released on Switch 2 and Xbox.

Oh, and Hermen resign. Whatever happens.

Summer Game Fest 2026

Summer Game Fest

June 5th, 23:00h // World Clock

Let’s be clear: there hasn’t been a single good Summer Game Fest. Maybe a decent one at best, but that’s it. Not even the Elden Ring one was that great. We know The Game Awards is a more important event for promoters and advertisers, but the audience for this summer shindig is no joke—last year’s video is close to 9 million views on YouTube, far exceeding any other presentation from the last Junio Jugón.

What I’m trying to say is, we’re screwed: although “the biggest Summer Game Fest to date” can mean anything, the fear of missing out on a historic night because you’re out for dinner on Friday is real. It’s okay, we’re in this together.

It’s surprising how little Geoff Keighley has previewed of the event. A while ago, he confirmed the presence of Blood Message, one of those aiming to become the next Wukong, and not much else. A few days ago, this other tweet was quite discussed; it’s not about selling smoke, I suppose, but vapor. Will we finally see the Steam Machine again here? Do I really have to write Half-Life 3 again, just in case?

If we’re going to revisit rumors, this week marks the beginning or end of the legend of Cerulean Onslaught, a supposed maritime game from From Software that could be released sooner rather than later.

Day of the Devs 2026

Day of the Devs

June 6th, 01:00h // World Clock

And if all else fails, as it does every year, we have Tim Schafer.

We trust these good people, of course, but I haven’t been able to find anything about the selection of indies that Double Fine and iam8bit are bringing us. I did find it interesting that, among the usual suspects like Devolver Digital, Annapurna, and Panic, Sabotage appears on the sponsors list. Is it support for the cause, or is the new game from the creators of The Messenger and Sea of Stars coming?

Where to watch: YouTube.

Wholesome Direct 2026

Wholesome Direct

June 6th, 18:00h // World Clock

I don’t know if it’s the accumulation of frogs or farms, but I admit I’ve grown a bit fond of the Wholesome Games presentation. It’s appreciated as an oasis, a parenthesis, although I still think its proposal of stress-free gameplay clashes a bit with presenting a hundred titles for over an hour.

I expect, I understand, content from Playstack, Ustwo Games, and Netflix—I mention Netflix in case they share more about Spirit Crossing.

Where to watch: YouTube.

Xbox Games Showcase + Gears of War: E-Day Direct 2026

Xbox Games Showcase
+ Gears of War: E-Day Direct

June 7th, 19:00h // World Clock

It would be normal to reiterate here that Microsoft has a lot riding on this Showcase. This year, and after Matt Booty confirmed that we won’t have new information on Project Helix, I fear that excuse won’t fly; capitalized or not, the hope for a comeback is irrevocably tied to that next piece of hardware.

Nevertheless, of course, we’ll be paying close attention to what Asha Sharma has to say and what her studios will show: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Halo: Campaign Evolved, Fable, Gears of War: E-Day… Serious business, as Phil Spencer himself anticipated, to celebrate Xbox’s 25th anniversary. And yet, given the commotion surrounding invitations, logos, and platforms, it doesn’t seem like we’ll have a peaceful celebration.

(Quick summary of this latest circus: Booty also commented, on the same official podcast, that during the conference it will be indicated whether a game is released for PlayStation 5 or Switch 2. This didn’t sit well with some of the community, and Asha, as always, came to the rescue, discrediting the Chief Content Officer by stating it was an error and that they need to look into it for the future.)

In this context, opening the can of worms about exclusivity seems almost as difficult as taking an Xbox promise seriously. It’s a must-watch, absolutely, with popcorn.

PC Gaming Show 2026

PC Gaming Show

June 7th, 21:00h // World Clock

The moment fans of Sean [Day 9] Plott have been waiting for twelve months! The event that can make your game’s Steam wishlist grow by 7,463%! This is how they sell it themselves, and for good reason.

Over 50 games will pass through the PC Gaming Show, and one will be Exodus—which hours ago was the protagonist, paid for by Matthew McConaughey, from the Future Game Showcase.

With hopes for Bloodborne at historical lows, the chat will have to find another topic of conversation. The major issue of hardware prices and whatever MSI has taken to insist on the Claw 8 EX for $1,500, for example.
