Barcelona is set to resume their La Liga campaign this Sunday afternoon, hosting Rayo Vallecano at the Spotify Camp Nou. A victory would temporarily extend their lead to seven points, further solidifying their impressive home record this season.

Ahead of the match, Hansi Flick addressed the media on Saturday. As reported by Diario AS, he was questioned about how the team's improved pressing game has contributed to their recent upturn in form.

"When we analyze our games, the performance has been strong, particularly in matches like the one against Newcastle, where the team demonstrated the level I expect. When we play actively and with intensity, everything flows better and is more enjoyable, both on and off the pitch. I was very pleased with what I saw recently. The initial match against Rayo is also behind us; now, the crucial task is to maintain this momentum through the season's final stretch."

Flick Addresses Rashford's Absence

In recent weeks, Barcelona supporters have expressed surprise regarding Marcus Rashford's limited playing time. The Manchester United loanee did not feature at all against Sevilla or Newcastle United. Flick has now clarified that this was due to a minor physical issue.

"He's experienced some discomfort over the past few days, and we opted for a cautious approach with him. He is now fully fit at 100%."

Rashford's reduced minutes have coincided with growing speculation about his future at Spotify Camp Nou. Flick remained largely non-committal on Barcelona's stance concerning Rashford, as well as the similar situation with fellow loanee Joao Cancelo.

"We require every player until the end of the season, and we currently don't know what will happen afterward. There's plenty of time, and a World Cup is also on the horizon. I trust everyone: Cancelo, Rashford, Gerard (Martin). They bring significant quality, just like the rest of the squad. There will be an appropriate time to discuss their futures, but now is not the moment to decide who stays or who departs. A lot can still unfold."
