Sports news ยป Fenway Park to Host Historic Bare-Knuckle Boxing Championship

Evergreen Fenway Events has announced that Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) will hold its inaugural Massachusetts event at Fenway Park on Saturday, August 29th. This marks a significant moment as the first sanctioned bare-knuckle fighting event to take place in the Commonwealth.

The main event will feature BKFC Featherweight World Champion and pound-for-pound contender โ€˜Kingโ€™ Kai Stewart (9-0) of Great Falls, Montana, making his record sixth defense of his world title. He will face off against New England combat sports standout Harry โ€˜The Hitmanโ€™ Gigliotti (6-0, 5 KOs) of Haverhill, MA.

Tickets for BKFC-92 will be available to the public starting Thursday, June 25th, at 10 a.m. on Redsox.com/BKFC. Mastercard is the preferred payment method.

Brett Miller, Senior Director of Special Events for Evergreen Fenway Events, expressed his excitement: “We are excited to welcome Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship to Fenway Park for its Massachusetts debut. Fenway Park has a long history of hosting unique sporting and entertainment events, and this event adds another chapter to that tradition. We look forward to welcoming fans for what will be a truly electric night at the ballpark.”

David Feldman, Founder and President of BKFC, shared his enthusiasm: “Weโ€™re beyond excited to announce this unprecedented event at Fenway Park on Saturday, August 29th. The team at Fenway Park has been outstanding to collaborate with in what is truly a canโ€™t-miss event on the national combat sports calendar. Kai Stewart is one of the most talented bare-knuckle fighters in the world, and his reign as our featherweight world champion is truly exceptional. However, fighting at Fenway Park against a Boston sports superstar in Harry Gigliotti, who is also on a tremendous roll over the last three years, presents the toughest challenge of Stewartโ€™s career.”

About the Fighters

Kai Stewart, a 26-year-old fighter, emerged as a BKFC star through the promotion’s national tryouts. He is coming off a dominant victory against the previously undefeated European Champion Nico Gaffie on March 20, 2026, at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL. Stewart has also secured world title wins against notable contenders such as Tommy Strydom (BKFC-72), Jimmy Rivera, Bryan Duran (BKFC-62), and Howard Davis (BKFC-56).

Harry Gigliotti, 31, transitioned to bare-knuckle fighting in December 2023 after a four-year professional boxing career with a record of 9-5. His BKFC debut on March 28, 2026, saw him deliver a knockout victory in the second round against veteran Timothy Mason at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, in front of a large crowd.

Further details about additional fights for this event will be announced in the upcoming weeks. The event is subject to final licensing approval from the City of Boston.
