Despite a challenging season for Real Madrid, Tchouaméni has individually performed strongly. Although the club has faced numerous issues, his departure from the Bernabéu is not a certainty.
Manchester United is reportedly keen on signing Tchouaméni this summer. Furthermore, reports suggest that Liverpool has entered the race for the Real Madrid player. Both English clubs are hopeful he will be available on the market during the upcoming transfer window, though an agreement would not be guaranteed even if he were to be put up for sale.
Tchouaméni’s Commitment to Real Madrid
However, according to the aforementioned reports, Tchouaméni’s priority is to spend at least one more season at Real Madrid. He would prefer to sign a new contract rather than leave, making an exit unlikely and likely frustrating Manchester United and Liverpool.
Retaining Tchouaméni’s services for the foreseeable future makes strategic sense for Real Madrid. While midfield challenges have been present, they could be addressed by acquiring a player similar to Toni Kroos to partner him in the center of the park, a partnership that proved highly effective during their La Liga and Champions League winning season in 2023-24.
It is improbable that Manchester United or Liverpool will pursue Tchouaméni without any indication of encouragement from his end. Given the unlikelihood of such encouragement this summer, he is expected to remain at the Bernabéu.
