The championship bout began with a tactical, chess-like approach. Imangazaliev effectively utilized his precise kicking techniques and superior distance control, prompting Ortikov to adopt a more defensive stance. Ortikov attempted to counter with overhand right strikes to keep Imangazaliev engaged.

However, Kongthoranee demonstrated remarkable resilience, recovering in the second round and launching his own aggressive assault, trapping Nong-O in a corner with a series of powerful strikes.
The final round brought further drama when Kongthoranee capitalized on a missed high kick from Nong-O, landing a precise left hand that sent the former world champion to the canvas.
