The Minnesota Wild are adding more promising talent to their roster.
Defenseman Zeev Buium has agreed to a three-year entry-level contract with the Wild, as announced by the team on Sunday.
Initially reported by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, Buium might make his debut as early as Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks.
This highly-regarded defensive prospect recently concluded his college season after the Denver Pioneers were defeated in the Frozen Four semifinals by the Western Michigan Broncos, who eventually became champions, in double overtime.
Buium had an outstanding NCAA season, scoring 13 goals and totaling 48 points in 40 games.
As the Wild approach securing a playoff spot, Buium`s addition could be a significant boost to their defensive lineup.
