Zebaztian Kadestam Returns to ONE Championship After Soldic Knockout

Sports news » Zebaztian Kadestam Returns to ONE Championship After Soldic Knockout

Former ONE champion Zebaztian Kadestam has finally scheduled his return to fighting, facing Isi Fitikefu at the upcoming ONE Fight Night 31 tournament on Friday, May 2nd, at Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand.

ONE officials confirmed this fight on Wednesday.

This fight will be Kadestam`s first appearance in ONE Championship since he knocked out former two-division KSW champion Roberto Soldic in the second round in 2023. This knockout was Kadestam`s third consecutive victory by stoppage, putting him back on the winning track after a three-fight losing streak.

Since his last defeat in 2021, Kadestam has truly turned things around with a series of three impressive performances, including the win over Soldic, who recently returned to winning himself with a spectacular knockout of Dagi Arslanaliev in February, and remains the last person to defeat UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis.

Kadestam, who has been with ONE Championship since 2017, has also fought against fighters like Ben Askren, Tyler McGuire, and Murad Ramazanov during his career in the promotion.

As for Fitikefu, this is his fourth appearance in ONE, where he has 2 wins and 1 loss in his first three fights with the organization. He last defeated Hiroyuki Tetsuka in 2024.

ONE Fight Night 31 will be broadcast on Amazon Prime in the United States and will also feature a performance by renowned Brazilian jiu-jitsu stylist Tye Ruotolo in a grappling match.
