Rising tennis star Lois Boisson is poised for a significant financial boost following her unexpected success at the French Open.
The 22-year-old Boisson has surprised the tennis world by reaching the semi-finals of the competition.

Ranked World No. 361, she defeated World No. 6 Mirra Andreeva on Wednesday at Roland-Garros to advance to the final four.
The £578,000 prize money she has secured is over five times her total career earnings.
Since turning professional in 2021, her earnings totaled just £109,000 before this tournament.

Entering as a wildcard, Boisson`s impressive run included victories over two top-10 players: World No. 3 Jessica Pegula in the fourth round, preceding her win against Andreeva.
The French player, originally from Dijon, is now scheduled to face World No. 2 Coco Gauff for a spot in the final.
Should she cause another upset in the semi-finals, her guaranteed earnings would reach at least £1 million.
If her remarkable run continues, Boisson would face either World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka or four-time French Open champion Iga Swiatek in the final.
A £2.1 million prize awaits the eventual champion.
Boisson makes history as the first wildcard in the Open Era to reach the French Open semi-finals.
She is also only the third player since 1980 to reach the semi-finals in their first appearance at a Major tournament, joining Americans Monica Seles (1989) and Jennifer Capriati (1989).
Her ranking, World No. 361 at the start of Roland-Garros, is set to dramatically improve, projected to be at least 65.
Earlier this year, she was reportedly called `smelly` by British player Harriet Dart, but now her success is the dominant story.
Boisson commented on her success, stating, “I don’t think this is a miracle. I have had a little bit of luck. It’s down to hard work. Every kid who plays tennis, the dream is to win a Slam. For French players, it’s to win Roland Garros. I will go for the dream.”
She also mentioned, “I have tried to stay off social media while I have been playing.”
