Kevin Holland will remain competing in the welterweight division.
The UFC has announced that Holland is scheduled to fight Vicente Luque at UFC 316. The event is set to take place on June 7th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Luque will be making his first appearance in 2025, coming off a quick submission victory in 52 seconds against Themba Gorimbo at UFC 310 in December. Prior to this win, the 33-year-old fighter rebounded from a TKO loss to Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlantic City nine months earlier. Luque was previously slated to face Nick Diaz on two separate occasions last year, but Diaz withdrew from both.
Holland, known for his frequent fight schedule, enters this matchup after a notable decision win over Gunnar Nelson at UFC London in March. This victory marked his successful return to the 170-pound weight class following two consecutive stoppage losses at middleweight against Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder.
UFC 316 will be headlined by a highly anticipated bantamweight championship rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O`Malley.
