Valentina Shevchenko has sharply reacted to recent statements by Ronda Rousey, who mentioned Shevchenko’s name while criticizing the insufficient pay for UFC fighters. Rousey claimed that athletes are still underpaid despite the promotion’s new multi-billion dollar agreement with Paramount.
Rousey is preparing for her MMA return on May 16, where she will face Gina Carano as part of Netflix’s first-ever live MMA broadcast and MVP’s debut event.
At a recent press conference for the Carano fight, “Rowdy” used Valentina Shevchenko’s name and her other ventures as an example to show that UFC fighters cannot rely solely on fight pay to survive. Joining a chorus of other critics, such as Jon Jones and Eddie Hearn, Rousey lashed out at her former boss Dana White, stating that the UFC is “one of the worst places to go.”
She continued, saying:
“It’s why their champions like Valentina [Shevchenko] are selling pictures of their ti*ties on OnlyFans.”
Valentina Shevchenko’s Reaction to OnlyFans Comments
These remarks from Ronda Rousey did not go unanswered by the two-time and current UFC women’s flyweight champion. Valentina Shevchenko immediately fired back at “Rowdy” on the social network X:
“It’s 2026. Fighters using OnlyFans is just a new way to connect with fans 💖 Looks like Ronda slept too long after her last fight in 2016 😴”
“The Bullet” launched her OnlyFans account in December 2024, where fans can find her training clips, travel vlogs, and glimpses of her life outside the octagon, which is quite different from what Rousey implied.
Cris Cyborg also showed support for Shevchenko, commenting on her post:
“❤️ I love your @OnlyFans page and following your travels.”
A netizen also corrected Rousey, writing:
“Some people think everyone on OnlyFans sells their nudes.”
Once predominantly associated with adult content, the OnlyFans platform is now widely used by athletes, musicians, and creators to share their work with fans, as “The Bullet” noted in her post, responding to Ronda Rousey.
