"I am officially out of PFL Belfast," Hughes stated. "I exhausted all possible options. Surgery is scheduled for next week to address the problem. I apologize to all my fans; I am utterly devastated. The event will proceed, showcasing the finest talent Ireland has to offer, including my teammates and the next generation of Irish MMA. I will return as quickly as humanly possible. The obstacle is the way."
Currently, it remains unclear whether Wilson will receive a substitute opponent or if the PFL will restructure the main event for PFL Belfast. Regarding Hughes' recovery timeline, he could potentially be out of action for the remainder of the year, contingent on the extent of his unspecified injury.
