UFC Mexico showcased exciting finishes, with newcomer fighters David Martinez and Ateba Gautier standing out and earning extra rewards.
Four “Performance of the Night” bonuses were awarded at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Martinez, Gautier, Edgar Chairez, and Manuel Torres each received an additional $50,000.
For Martinez and Gautier, their first appearances in the UFC octagon were incredibly successful. Both recent additions from Dana White’s Contender Series, they delivered impressive knockout wins.
Martinez dominated Saimon Oliveira, who was returning after two years, finishing him with strikes in the first round. Gautier also secured a first-round victory, concluding the preliminary fights with a knockout against Jose Daniel Medina.
Edgar Chairez emotionally celebrated his bonus after quickly submitting CJ Vergara with a rear-naked choke in the first round.
Manuel Torres, known for earning bonuses, added another to his collection. This marks his fourth UFC bonus, achieved by defeating veteran Drew Dober in under two minutes.
