Dana White is strengthening his connection with Meta.
TKO Group Holding announced on Wednesday a multi-year partnership between UFC and Meta, naming Mark Zuckerberg`s company as the “official fan technology partner” of the UFC.
According to the press release, Meta will collaborate with UFC, utilizing platforms like Meta AI, Meta Glasses, Meta Quest, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads to deepen fan engagement with UFC content. Meta will also be the “Official AI Glasses Partner” and explore innovative uses for AI glasses at UFC events.
The relationship between White and Zuckerberg has grown over time, with Zuckerberg often attending UFC events and White joining Meta`s board of directors in January.
The specifics of White`s role are not fully clear, but this business collaboration is already yielding results with this recent announcement. White shared on social media that Meta will help create a new fighter ranking system, anticipated to be revealed before the end of 2025.
White stated, “We`ve already begun working with Meta to develop a new fighter ranking system that will debut later this year. We`ll also use Meta’s AI-powered glasses to capture UFC content, and we are planning innovations with Meta that will amaze UFC fans. The coming years will be revolutionary for fans of this sport.”
Zuckerberg stated in the release, “I love this sport and I’m excited to collaborate with the UFC to provide fans with new ways to experience it.”
