The official main card for UFC 315 has been revealed.
Next month, UFC 315 will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, highlighted by two championship bouts. The main event will feature Belal Muhammad defending his welterweight championship against Jack Della Maddalena. Originally, Muhammad was scheduled to face the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310, but an injury forced him to withdraw. Subsequently, Rakhmonov also suffered an injury, leading to Maddalena stepping in as the replacement.
In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko will defend her women`s flyweight title against Manon Fiorot. Shevchenko, already considered a Hall of Famer, recently regained her featherweight title with a decisive victory in her trilogy fight against Alexa Grasso at UFC 306. Now, “Bullet” begins her second reign as champion against the rising contender Fiorot, who boasts a seven-fight winning streak since joining the UFC.
In addition to the two headline fights, the remaining bouts for the UFC 315 main card were announced during the recent UFC 314 event. A featured fight of the evening will see featherweight legend Jose Aldo competing against up-and-coming contender Aiemann Zahabi in a bantamweight clash between top 15 ranked fighters.
Also on the main card, former women`s flyweight champion and No. 1 ranked Alexa Grasso will return for the first time since losing her title to Shevchenko. She will face No. 5 ranked Natalia Silva. And in the opening main card bout, the always exciting Benoit Saint Denis will face Joel Alvarez.
UFC 315 is scheduled for May 10, with the main card broadcast live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
