Their main event, a thrilling welterweight title bout, was awarded the Fight of the Night. While Della Maddalena claimed the championship with a unanimous decision victory over Muhammad, both competitors received an extra $50,000 bonus for their efforts, a decision widely applauded by fellow fighters.
This marks the second Fight of the Night award for each fighter. For Muhammad, it`s his first since his UFC debut in 2016, while Della Maddalena continues his impressive bonus streak, having now received bonuses in six out of his eight UFC fights.
The Performance of the Night bonuses were awarded to Canadian athletes Jasmine Jasudavicius and Marc-Andre Barriault, who delivered exciting finishes much to the delight of the Montreal audience.
Jasudavicius extended her winning streak to five and secured a significant victory by submitting former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade in the first round.
Barriault desperately needed a win to end a three-fight losing streak. He achieved this dramatically with a powerful first-round knockout of Bruno Silva, an finish so impactful that Silva had to be removed from the octagon on a stretcher.
