Following Geoff Neal`s withdrawal due to injury, the UFC 314 main card has been updated. Neal was originally scheduled to fight Carlos Prates.
While Prates will now headline UFC Kansas City against Ian Machado Garry, UFC 314 organizers found a compelling replacement to start the pay-per-view event.
Dominick Reyes, a former two-time light heavyweight title challenger with recent knockout victories, will now face Nikita Krylov in a light heavyweight clash. Both Reyes and Krylov are known for their finishing abilities, promising an explosive start to UFC 314.
Adding to the excitement, Patricio Pitbull, former Bellator champion, will make his highly anticipated UFC debut against Yair Rodriguez in a featherweight match. Pitbull has long desired to compete in the UFC, and his first fight will be against a formidable opponent in Rodriguez.
Jean Silva will also be featured on the main card, facing Bryce Mitchell in a bout expected to be action-packed both in and out of the octagon. Their rivalry adds extra intensity to this matchup.
The co-main event will see Michael Chandler`s return as he faces Paddy Pimblett. This fight represents the biggest challenge of Pimblett`s UFC career as he aims to defeat the always thrilling Chandler and climb the lightweight rankings.
The main event remains a featherweight title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes. They will compete for the vacant title after Ilia Topuria moved to the lightweight division.
The UFC 314 main card begins at on Saturday night and will be available via pay-per-view.
