Indiana Pacers standout Tyrese Haliburton exited Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals early in the first quarter on Sunday. He required assistance to leave the court after suffering a noncontact injury to his right lower leg.
Haliburton, who had already scored nine points before the incident, took a pass on the wing and began dribbling left towards the hoop. He suddenly collapsed to the ground, losing possession and hitting the floor in apparent pain. He needed help getting off the court, and the Pacers later confirmed in the second quarter that he was ruled out due to a “right lower leg injury.”
This injury follows a right calf strain the two-time NBA All-Star previously suffered in Game 5. Despite that earlier strain, he managed to play 23 minutes in a decisive Game 6 victory after receiving extensive treatment. At the time, he had expressed little doubt in his ability to compete.
Prominent figures across the sports landscape, including Los Angeles Lakers veteran LeBron James, quickly shared their reactions. James notably posted `F***!!!!!!!!` on X, while others sent messages of support and best wishes for Haliburton`s recovery.
