Former Wimbledon champion and globally recognized tennis figure, Maria Sharapova, recently captivated attention at a star-studded red carpet event.
She attended the celebration marking the 60th anniversary of the Hotel Il Pellicano, located in Monte Argentario, Italy. Sharapova was accompanied by her fiancé, Alex Gilkes, and made a striking impression with her choice of attire.
Her glamorous look included a sheer, see-through mesh top layered over a bra, paired with elegant long trousers and stylish black heels. Completing her ensemble, she carried a white purse as she posed for photographers on the red carpet.
Since retiring from professional tennis, Sharapova has frequently graced red carpet events, consistently showcasing her impeccable style.
Last autumn, she achieved a significant milestone by being inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
To commemorate this honor, a three-day celebration is planned for August in Rhode Island, USA. The event calendar is set to feature various activities, including opportunities for fans to meet Sharapova, a tennis fashion show, a live concert, and the debut of the Celebrity Pro Classic – a mixed-doubles tournament featuring tennis legends paired with celebrities.
Sharapova is part of an elite group of 270 inductees representing 28 nations in the Hall of Fame. International Hall of Fame President, Kim Clijsters, spoke highly of the Class of 2025, which includes Sharapova and the renowned Bryan brothers.
“I am honored to welcome Maria Sharapova and Bob and Mike Bryan as the International Tennis Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025,” stated Clijsters. “Beyond each of their historic accomplishments on the court, the Class of 2025 have had such a profound impact on the game of tennis and have inspired multiple generations of fans across the world. We look forward to celebrating them in Newport next year.”
