Flyweights will take center stage at the UFC APEX this summer.
Sources indicate that a flyweight bout between Tatsuro Taira and Amir Albazi is set to headline UFC Vegas 108. The event is scheduled for August 2nd at the UFC APEX venue.
Tatsuro Taira will compete again after suffering the first professional defeat of his MMA career. The promising 25-year-old lost a split decision to Brandon Royval in a highly-regarded bout at UFC Vegas 98 in October. Before that loss, Taira had secured six consecutive victories, including impressive finishes against Carlos Hernandez and Alex Perez.
Amir Albazi is also aiming to rebound from his initial UFC loss. He dropped a dominant decision to Brandon Moreno in the main event of UFC Edmonton in November. The 31-year-old was making his return in that fight after a significant break following his split decision win over Kai Kara-France in June 2023.
