The Dallas Stars will continue to be without their top defenceman.

Coach Pete DeBoer informed reporters that Miro Heiskanen will not play in Game 5 on Monday. The Stars are currently vying for the series lead in their first-round matchup against the Colorado Avalanche.

Heiskanen has been sidelined since January following knee surgery. While he rejoined practice before the playoffs began, his status has remained day-to-day.

Prior to his injury, the Finnish defenceman recorded five goals and 20 assists in 50 games.

Dallas is making one lineup adjustment: Oskar Back will dress in place of Mavrik Bourque.

The 25-year-old Back has registered one assist in his three playoff appearances.

Live broadcast coverage of Game 5 between the Stars and Avalanche starts at 9:50 p.m. ET.
