Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson could be back in the lineup for the opening game of their second-round playoff series against the Winnipeg Jets.

Robertson suffered a knee injury during the team`s final regular-season game on April 16 and subsequently missed the entire first-round series against the Colorado Avalanche.

The 25-year-old forward participated in practice on Tuesday, skating alongside teammates Wyatt Johnson and Mason Marchment.

Stars coach Peter DeBoer indicated that Robertson is “close” to returning. DeBoer added, “We`ll see tomorrow morning” regarding his availability.

During the regular season, Robertson played in all 82 games and finished second on the team in scoring with 80 points, tallying 35 goals and 45 assists.

On the Winnipeg side, injured forward Mark Scheifele and defensemen Josh Morrissey and Logan Stanley are considered game-time decisions.

Winnipeg is set to host Dallas for Game 1 of their second-round matchup on Wednesday. The game is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. CT.
