The San Jose Sharks have bolstered their roster by selecting center Michael Misa with the second overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Misa showcased exceptional talent in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) while playing for the Saginaw Spirit. He had a dominant season, recording an impressive 62 goals and a total of 134 points over 65 games. This stellar performance earned him both the league scoring title and MVP honors.
His tally of 62 goals is particularly noteworthy, tying him for the third-highest number of goals scored by a draft-eligible player in the history of the OHL.
Having been granted exceptional player status to enter the OHL a year ahead of time, Misa was the first overall selection by the Spirit in the 2022 OHL Draft. He was also a key member of the Saginaw team that clinched the Memorial Cup championship in the past season.
