DENVER — Tyler Seguin scored at 5:31 of overtime, securing a 2-1 victory for the Dallas Stars over Colorado on Wednesday night after the Stars successfully killed off a late double-minor penalty. The game also marked the return of Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog.

With their second consecutive overtime win, Dallas now leads the first-round playoff series 2-1. Game 4 is scheduled for Saturday night in Denver.

Seguin`s decisive goal came when he directed the puck past Mackenzie Blackwood after receiving a pass from Mason Marchment. Marchment had been assessed the four-minute double-minor penalty in the final minute of regulation for high-sticking Brock Nelson.

This was Seguin`s second career playoff overtime goal. His first was scored in 2012 while playing for Boston.
