Sean Strickland continues his trend of sparring with YouTubers and social media personalities.
Recently, the former UFC middleweight champion participated in a sparring session with content creator Nick Nayersina at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. Nayersina shared a clip of the spar on Twitter to preview an upcoming video, and as anticipated, the session was very challenging for Nayersina.
The released video footage shows Strickland landing a variety of strikes, including punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, on Nayersina. To Nayersina`s credit, he demonstrated resilience by staying in the spar despite the pressure from Strickland.
In terms of his professional fighting career, Strickland is looking to rebound from a decisive points loss to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 312 in February, which was an attempt to become a two-time middleweight titleholder. Before that, the popular 185-pound competitor defeated Paulo Costa at UFC 301 last June. This victory followed his initial championship loss to du Plessis five months earlier at UFC 297 in January 2024.
Strickland originally claimed the championship belt in September 2023 by achieving a significant upset win, dominating Israel Adesanya over five rounds at UFC 293.
