Colorado Avalanche`s forward Ross Colton sustained a lower-body injury during their playoff game against the Dallas Stars on Saturday.

Colton left the game and only played briefly in the third period of the Avalanche`s 5-1 victory.

The extent of his injury is still under evaluation. Coach Jared Bednar mentioned that an update is expected on Sunday.

Colton has scored 29 points in 63 regular-season games this season. His absence is a concern for the Avalanche as they proceed in the playoffs.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Monday.
