The coaching staff for the New York Rangers is taking shape under new head coach Mike Sullivan.

Dave Quinn, Joe Sacco, and Ty Hennes are reportedly in the process of joining Sullivan`s staff, according to recent reports.

Sullivan was hired by the Rangers after mutually agreeing to part ways with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He steps in to replace Peter Laviolette, who was dismissed after the team failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Quinn makes a return to New York, where he previously served as the Rangers` head coach for three seasons before his tenure ended in 2021. Following his time with the Rangers, he coached the San Jose Sharks for three seasons before joining Sullivan`s staff in Pittsburgh as an assistant last year.

Sacco`s background includes serving as the interim coach for the Boston Bruins after Jim Montgomery was reportedly fired in November, where he posted a 25-30-7 record. He had been part of the Bruins organization since 2014.

Hennes has a history of working with Sullivan, having been on the Penguins` coaching staff since 2018. He initially served as a skills coach and was promoted to an assistant coaching role in 2022.
