The Professional Fighters League (PFL) community is currently in mourning following the tragic death of one of its valued staff members, Jeff Brady.

The league announced on Sunday the passing of Jeff Brady, who lost his life while demonstrating incredible bravery in Arizona. Brady died attempting to save two children from drowning in a river. He was a long-time operations manager, previously working for Bellator and later for PFL, where his responsibilities included managing merchandise, apparel, and consumer products.

The news of his death was first publicly shared by Jeff’s twin brother, Greg Brady, through a heartfelt dedication posted on Instagram.

“Today, I lost my twin brother, my best friend, my other half, and now my hero,” Greg wrote in his post. He recounted the circumstances: “In an act of incredible bravery, he gave his life saving two young boys from drowning at the place both of us call our Lil’ Slice of Paradise, the lower river.”

Greg powerfully summarized his brother`s character: “That’s who he was… selfless, fearless, and always putting others before himself. He didn’t think twice. He saw someone in need, and he acted, just like he always did.”

Expressing the depth of his grief and pride, Greg added, “There are no words to describe the pain of losing someone who has been a part of me since the beginning. We shared everything… laughter, struggles, dreams, and memories I’ll hold onto forever. My heart is broken, but I am also incredibly proud of the man he was and the hero he’ll always be remembered as.”

He concluded his tribute with a call to action and a final farewell: “If you knew him, honor him by living with the same courage and kindness he showed every day. Heaven gained a Viking Angel.”

Following the announcement and Greg Brady`s moving words, numerous fighters from across the mixed martial arts world shared their condolences and paid tribute to Jeff. This included athletes who have never competed for PFL, such as former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

Woodley commented on the news, stating, “Wow. One time for Jeff! An amazing human. Condolences to your family. Long live your legacy.”

Among the many other fighters who offered their respects to Brady and his family were Cris Cyborg, Dakota Ditcheva, and the well-known Brazilian brothers, Patricio and Patricky Pitbull.
