Edmonton Oilers received some positive news on Friday.
Despite injuries sidelining star players Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl for at least a week, goalie Stuart Skinner will not suffer the same fate.
Skinner was removed from Thursday’s game against the Jets as a concussion precaution after a collision near the net. However, coach Kris Knoblauch announced on Friday that Skinner is fit to play in Saturday’s game against the Kraken.
This season, Skinner has played in 47 games for the Oilers, achieving a .896 save percentage, 23 wins, and two shutouts.
