RALEIGH, N.C. — Seth Jarvis scored twice, Sebastian Aho contributed a goal and two assists, as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Islanders 6-4.
Dmitry Orlov, Mark Jankowski, and Logan Stankoven also found the net for Carolina, marking their second consecutive win. Hurricanes goalie Pyotr Kochetkov successfully stopped 27 shots.
For the Islanders, Pierre Engvall scored twice, Kyle Palmieri had a goal and an assist, and Anders Lee also scored. The Islanders are now on a five-game losing streak (0-3-2). Bo Horvat provided two assists, and Marcus Hogberg made 24 saves.
Lee leveled the score at 4-4 early in the third period. However, Orlov put the Hurricanes ahead again midway through the third, and Jarvis sealed the win with his second goal of the night and 29th of the season with just under three minutes remaining.
