NBA Betting: Four Bets for Tuesday’s Play-in Games

Sports news » NBA Betting: Four Bets for Tuesday’s Play-in Games

The 2025 NBA play-in tournament begins on Tuesday with two exciting matchups. First, the Orlando Magic will host the Atlanta Hawks, followed by a game between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies.

Orlando, with a regular season record of 41-41, is favored by 5.5 points with an over/under of 219.5 against the Hawks, who finished the season 40-42. Their head-to-head season series was split 2-2.

In the other game, the Warriors and Grizzlies both concluded the regular season with identical 48-34 records. The Warriors are favored by 7.5 points with an over/under of 227.5. Golden State won their season series 3-1, although Memphis notably defeated them by 51 points in December.

Here are four noteworthy bets for Tuesday`s play-in games:

Top Bets for Tuesday

Paolo Banchero Over 30.5 Points (-110)

Banchero has exceeded this points total in all three regular-season games against the Hawks. Atlanta has struggled defensively against power forwards, allowing the seventh-most points per game to this position, and lacks a suitable defender to contain Banchero. He has scored over 30.5 points in 11 of his last 20 games where he played at least 34 minutes.

Onyeka Okongwu Under 25.5 Points and Rebounds (-105)

The Orlando Magic boast the NBA`s best defensive rating over their last 10 games. While Okongwu had a strong performance against Orlando on April 8th, he has stayed under 25.5 points and rebounds in 10 of his last 20 games and in both previous matchups against the Magic this season. Orlando has consistently limited opposing centers, holding them below their combined points and rebounds line in six of their last 10 games. Given Orlando`s slow pace of play and strong defense, Tuesday night may not be ideal for Okongwu to excel.

Vince Williams Jr. Under 12.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists (-125)

Williams has remained under this combined total in seven of his past 10 games, averaging just 18 minutes per game in that stretch. He exceeded it in the regular-season finale against Dallas, but key Grizzlies players had limited minutes in that game. More significantly, Williams has gone under this mark in nine of the 12 games he has played alongside Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr. He now faces a Warriors team ranked fourth in defensive rating over the past 10 games.

Zach Edey Over 11.5 Rebounds (-130)

Edey seems to be hitting his stride at the right time for the Grizzlies. He has surpassed this rebound total in four of his last five games, averaging 25.6 rebound chances in just over 30 minutes per game. The Golden State Warriors have struggled against centers throughout the season, allowing the sixth-most rebounds per game to the position. Additionally, six of the last eight centers they have faced have exceeded their rebound prop bets.
