Highly-rated flyweight fighter Muhammad Mokaev is set to compete in Karate Combat.

An official from the promotion confirmed to news outlets that Mokaev has signed with Karate Combat. This announcement follows Mokaev`s initial reveal on social media. The 24-year-old is scheduled to make his debut on May 2nd at a Karate Combat event in Dubai.

Mokaev stated, “My original sport was karate before I transitioned to wrestling. I want to stay active, compete, and improve my striking skills. Wrestling will always be my backup plan, but I need to develop my primary striking game.”

Mokaev achieved a 7-0 record in the UFC. However, after his contract concluded following a victory over Manel Kape at UFC 304 in July, the UFC decided not to renew his contract.

Ranked No. 10 globally in the flyweight division, Mokaev last fought at Brave CF 91 in December, where he won via first-round submission against Joevincent So.
