Tennis star Taylor Fritz`s girlfriend, model Morgan Riddle, experienced a rollercoaster of emotions during his first match at Wimbledon.
The 27-year-old American player, Fritz, navigated a chaotic start at Wimbledon to defeat the 36th-seeded Frenchman, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, on Tuesday.
Although Fritz was the favorite, he found himself trailing 5-1 in the fourth-set tiebreak before making a remarkable comeback to clinch the set.
The player from California forced the match into a deciding set, but play was halted on Monday because of the All England Club`s curfew.
Returning the following day for the resumed match, Fritz ultimately secured victory against his opponent at Wimbledon.
Following the match, his girlfriend, model Morgan Riddle, who witnessed his comeback from two sets down, shared a screenshot from a wellness app on Instagram.
The app`s message indicated, “Your body has experienced more stress than usual today,” noting that the 27-year-old had registered over four hours of stress, significantly more than her typical 75-minute daily average.
Riddle added a humorous caption to the post:
“Huh, wonder why.”
She also shared a picture taken from her vantage point on Court 1, the location of Fritz`s match.
For Tuesday`s match, Riddle looked stunning in a patterned blue dress.
Fritz attributed the suspension of play to his opponent.
He commented:
“They would have allowed us to continue playing if my opponent had agreed. I was willing, but he wasn`t.”
Fritz came into the Wimbledon tournament fresh off his fourth victory at the Lexus Eastbourne Open.
