Arman Tsarukyan Reacts to Looksmaxxing Advice: 'I'll Do Botox for a Title Fight'
UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan recently engaged in a notable exchange with "looksmaxxing" influencer Clavicular (also known as Braden Peters), who suggested that an improved physical appearance could potentially increase a fighter's chances of securing more title opportunities.
During their interaction, Clavicular posited that the UFC often prioritizes fighters with more marketable aesthetics. He advised Tsarukyan, despite his already prominent features, to consider further aesthetic enhancements. Clavicular stated, "You would probably be able to get more title fights, the better looking you were. So it could be worth it. Everyone can improve. Even the best-looking person in the world. So get a little better."
Tsarukyan responded with humor to the influencer's advice, playfully suggesting he might resort to cosmetic procedures to earn his coveted championship bout. "Now I’m gonna do Botox to get my title fight," he quipped, adding, "That’s why they didn’t give me [a title shot], because I’m ugly."
This lighthearted banter takes place amidst Tsarukyan's persistent pursuit of a UFC lightweight title shot. His recent submission victory over Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar in 2025 did not lead to a championship opportunity. Furthermore, his path was complicated by a prior withdrawal from a title fight against then-champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 311, attributed to a hernia.
UFC President Dana White has openly cited Tsarukyan's past "antics," both inside and outside the octagon – including an altercation with a fan, a headbutt during a fight with Dan Hooker, and a confrontation with Georgio Poullas – as reasons for withholding a title shot. Tsarukyan, who is slated to serve as a backup for the lightweight title unification bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje at UFC Freedom 250 in 2026, has since promised to maintain good conduct in hopes of challenging for the title before the end of 2026. In the interim, he remains active with appearances in RAF and HYPE FC.
