Misfits Boxing 21 Weigh-in: Darren Till Vows ‘F*cking Violence’

Sports news » Misfits Boxing 21 Weigh-in: Darren Till Vows ‘F*cking Violence’

Darren Till guarantees his second Misfits Boxing bout will be packed with violence.

The former UFC title challenger is set to face fellow mixed martial artist Darren Stewart in the cruiserweight main event of Misfits Boxing 21 on Friday in Derby, England. Both fighters successfully made weight before their pre-fight faceoff.

The two English fighters showed respect towards each other during their faceoff. Till specifically expressed a desire to avoid typical trash talk and focus solely on promoting the fight itself.

Speaking about the upcoming fight, Till stated, “Obviously, I’m going to look to knock him out over eight rounds. There’s not a lot to say. A lot of people are here for a lot of gimmicky shit, but I’m a violent motherf*cker and Darren’s a violent motherf*cker, so we’re f*cking coming for violence. It doesn’t matter about the respect. You all talk about, ‘respect, respect, respect,’ it’s not about that. This is fighting. We’re going to go in to f*cking absolutely annihilate each other and then we’re going to have respect after. That’s how fighting is, so a few people come here, a few of the things here tonight, it doesn’t always have to be about all bullshit. You’re still going to get violence tomorrow and that’s what you’re here for.”

The Misfits Boxing 21 card features a total of nine bouts. Besides the main event, another highly anticipated fight is Chase DeMoor`s heavyweight title defense against Canada`s Tanner Tolman. DeMoor generated headlines earlier in the week by accurately throwing a bottle at former opponent Tempo Arts during a press conference.

This incident nearly ignited a brawl involving Tempo Arts and Godson Umeh, another rival of DeMoor. However, DeMoor`s interaction with Tolman at the weigh-ins proved to be significantly less confrontational.

Following an awkward verbal exchange, Tolman presented DeMoor with a peculiar gift. He opened a small case to reveal a candy necklace, purportedly from Godson, which DeMoor immediately began to eat. Tolman explained the gift, saying, “Godson sent a gift for you. He feels bad. Just something he thought you were worth.”
