Mike Perry has indicated that he might have an MMA fight on the horizon, possibly within the next few weeks.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Perry mentioned, “KSI is out, and Dillon Danis is interested in an MMA fight. I`ve agreed, but we`re waiting to see what Mams Taylor and Misfits propose.”
He elaborated, “They`re making adjustments because Danis was originally set to box KSI. It seems the date has shifted slightly but might not be too far off. So, I`ve accepted a fight with Dillon Danis in MMA, but their offer needs to be right.”
Perry`s last fight was a boxing defeat to Jake Paul in July. His most recent BKFC appearance was almost a year ago when he defeated Thiago Alves in just a minute at KnuckleMania 4.
Dillon Danis was supposed to box KSI at Misfits Boxing 21, but KSI`s illness led to the event`s postponement. Danis is currently scheduled to face Tony Ferguson in a GFL fight on May 29 in Los Angeles, as announced on Monday.
Perry speculated, “Perhaps Danis doesn`t want to jeopardize the Ferguson fight, and it depends if BKFC is willing to take any risks. Danis will likely try for takedowns, and I`ll aim for soccer kicks to the face. It sounds like it would be in April.”
Perry concluded, “I`ll defend the takedowns. He`ll have to pull guard, and I`m ready with ground and pound. Let`s make it happen.”
