The highly anticipated clash between Mariusz Pudzianowski and Eddie Hall is officially on.
KSW announced on Friday that strongman icons Pudzianowski and Hall are scheduled to face off at KSW 105 on April 26th. This monumental matchup has been rightfully named “The World’s Strongest Fight.”
Mariusz Pudzianowski is widely recognized as one of the greatest World`s Strongest Man competitors in history, boasting a record-breaking five victories in the competition. A celebrated sports figure in Poland, he has successfully transitioned his strongman fame into a prominent MMA career, amassing a professional record of 17 wins and 9 losses (1 No Contest) since his debut in 2009. The 48-year-old fighter is currently looking to break a two-fight losing streak, having recently been defeated by Artur Szpilka and fellow KSW star Mamed Khalidov.
KSW 105 will mark Pudzianowski’s first fight since June 2023.
Eddie Hall, 37 years old, is expected to make his MMA debut in this event, although the official rules for the contest have not yet been disclosed. “The Beast,” a long-time World’s Strongest Man contender and the 2017 champion, has recently explored combat sports, notably participating in a humorous 2-on-1 match last June where he effortlessly overpowered and knocked out both of his opponents.
Hall`s venture into boxing in 2022 was less successful, as he suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Thor Bjornsson—popularly known as “The Mountain” from Game of Thrones—in a six-round exhibition bout.
KSW 105 will take place at PreZero Arena in Gliwice, Poland. The event will also feature two title fights: welterweight champion Adrian Bartosinski defending his title against Andrzej Grzebyk, and light heavyweight champion Rafal Haratyk facing Ibragim Chuzhigaev.
