The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially announced the signing of center player Luke Haymes to a two-year contract. This announcement was made on Monday.

Haymes` contract will commence in the 2025-2026 season. For the remainder of the current 2024-2025 season, he will join the Toronto Marlies in the AHL on an amateur tryout basis.

Luke Haymes, aged 21, recently played for Dartmouth College in the NCAA league. In his last season, which was unfortunately shortened due to an injury, he scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 22 games.

Throughout his NCAA career with Dartmouth, Ottawa-born Haymes participated in 83 games, achieving a total of 41 goals and 29 assists. He has also been recognized for his performance, being named to the 2023-24 NCAA All-Ivy League First Team and the NCAA (ECAC) First All-Star Team.
