Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz was observed returning to the ice for a workout session conducted before the team`s main practice on Tuesday.
Stolarz engaged in drills with goalie coach Curtis Sanford. However, he did not join the rest of the team when their optional practice session began.
Speaking to reporters after the practice, head coach Craig Berube provided an update on Stolarz`s condition, stating that he is “doing much better.” Despite the improvement, Berube noted that there is currently no definitive timeline for Stolarz`s potential return to the lineup.
Fellow netminder Joseph Woll shared his positive reaction to seeing Stolarz back on the ice, describing it as a “good morale boost” for the squad. Woll also highlighted Stolarz`s value as a knowledgeable resource, especially given his previous tenure with the team`s current playoff opponent, the Florida Panthers.
