Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube is keeping his potential lineup decisions guarded ahead of the crucial Game 5 against the Florida Panthers.
Berube informed reporters that there are some game-time decisions regarding the roster, but stressed they are not due to player injuries.
Following his team`s loss in Game 4 against the Panthers, the Leafs coach admitted he was contemplating potential changes to the lineup.
Despite this, Berube didn`t reveal many details. The team practiced with its regular roster on Tuesday, while Wednesday morning`s skate was optional.
Typically, only players not in the lineup participate in optional morning skates. The absence of David Kampf from the ice could suggest he might be an option to play in Game 5.
Kampf has been sidelined since April 2 due to an injury sustained against the Panthers. The 30-year-old forward was limited to just 59 regular-season games because of injuries, recording 5 goals and 13 points.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson, who missed Tuesday`s practice due to illness, was on the ice before the morning skate. Berube confirmed that Ekman-Larsson will be in the lineup for Game 5.
